Felt Flower Easter Egg Ornaments

Felt Flower Easter Egg Ornaments

Easterby Janet

We had fun making some Felt Flower Easter Egg Ornaments for our Easter tree! Start by drawing egg shapes on some felt and cutting them out.

start by cutting out two egg shapes from felt

Then, cut some flower and leaf shapes out from other colors of felt. We sewed them to one side of the egg, with a sequin and beads.

Adding felt cut outs to the egg

Sew around the edge of both eggs, making sure to secure the ends of a ribbon loop in the top. When you are about 3/4 the way around, tuck a little polyfill in the middle of the egg to make it stuffed.

Sew both layers together around the outside edge leaving a small opening to stuff the egg

Finish sewing around the edge.

Make big spring felt flower easter egg ornaments, and some small ones. Perfect for a table centerpiece at Easter time. Either purchase a little tree from your local home dec store, or find a branch in your yard and spray paint it โ€” white, metallic or any fun color! If you make your own little tree, then you can fill a pot with some pebbles, and put the stem of your branch down in the pebbles. You can either find pebbles, or buy a bag at your local dollar store .. . which is easier!
