Crazy Quilting

Category: Crazy Quilting

If you view the world through an asymmetrical lens, crazy quilting may be just what your creative toolbox needs. Do you have to be crazy to love and make crazy quilts? Well, no! You just need to be open to improvising. but patterns are available if you prefer to plan your projects.

The first crazy quilters in history were wealthy women who had luxurious scraps of silks and velvets left over from dressmaking. They “went crazy” with piecing, embroidery, appliqué, beading – whatever they could think of. Fast forward to today’s modern crazy quilters who honor the roots of the craft with up-to-date techniques, pushing the creative boundaries. They’ll show you how to make your own unique crazy quilts.
