Metalsmithing is the process of manipulating metals to make things, often jewelry, but it can include other metalwork, as well. Metalsmithing artists use specialized tools to achieve different shapes and decorative elements on rings, bracelets and necklaces. Once you learn the basic techniques, you can hammer, saw and twist metal into brand new forms. It’s fun, and can be kind of therapeutic!
