I like to wear headbands every day, and like the ones with flowers — and they need to match my outfits! On a trip to the local dollar store I bought 10 headbands for $4, and then purchased some pre-made flowers from the local craft store. Those supplies and a glue gun are all you need! I now have 10 new cute headbands with flowers on them to match my outfits! Learn how to make your headbands with me!
This is a quick and easy project that can be done with children under supervision. Be careful with the hot glue gun. Let the children pick out and plan the design, and the adults be in charge of the glue guns. Because the glue gun dries quickly, you can make a bunch of these in a short amount of time. Perfect for the short attention span of some young ones – who still love a good accessory!

Materials
- One or more headbands, either plain or decorated
- Variety of flowers or bows to add to the headbands
Tools
- Glue gun
- Craft scissors
Instructions
- Start by collecting your supplies. A variety of headbands and embellishments will get you started! I love flowers in my hair, so I've selected a lot of flowers to go with my collection of headbands I picked up at the dollar store.
- Try different flower and headband combinations. Dab a little bit of glue from your glue gun onto the headband and carefully place the flower. Be careful not to touch the hot glue or end of the glue gun - it will burn!
Here is a green headband with varied colored flowers. - Love this pink flower with a pearl in the center on the black headband.
- Another green headband, this time with yellow and turquoise flowers added. The yellow center of the turquoise looks nice with the additional yellow flower.
- Pink and turquoise always look good together! I wear both colors often.
- This headband is a little more wild. I started with a wider multicolor headband and added a purple flower!
- Flower trio in turquoise and purple!
- Here I am with one of my new headbands !
Notes
NOTE: Be careful with the glue gun. Both the glue gun and the glue are hot and can burn your skin easily.
