Spotlight: Rebecca Vick, Mixed Media Artist

Painting & Drawing Paper Crafting Spotlightby Create Whimsy

Rebecca Vick transforms her whimsical inspirations into mixed media art suitable for framing. Then she extends her visions into prints, cards, journals and jewelry that reflect her creative life.

Tell us a little bit about you and what you do.

Rebecca Vick

My name is Rebecca Vick and I am a mixed media artist and stationery addict. I own a small business where I create whimsical art inspired by everyday life. My artwork is created using paper, ink, paint, gelatos, water colors, pencils, glue, markers, material…. a little bit of everything. I have an Etsy shop and I participate in craft fairs where I sell prints, art wood blocks, stationery items and jewelry created from my original artwork.

What inspires you to make your whimsical art?

I have loved art my entire life and was always drawing and creating as a kid. My entire life I have wanted to be an artist and although life has set me into a different direction at times, I always come back to creating. My motto is “Create something everyday, it’s good for the soul”. I am inspired by everyday life.
