Spinning

Spinning

Spinning yarn by hand takes fibers such a wool roving or alpaca roving, and uses a method to carefully spin yarn. The yarn is then used to make textiles by either weaving, knitting or crochet. In the middle ages the spinning wheel was invented, making it easier to draw out the strands of fibers and twist them into even yarn. Plant, animal and synthetic fibers can all be used to spin yarns.
