EPP Scissor Sheaf

EPP Scissor Sheaf

DIY Gift Ideas Embroidery English Paper Piecing (EPP) Sewingby Sz Sandoval

I designed and made this EPP scissor sheaf case for a dear friend. I started with itty-bitty little 1/4โ€ณ hexies put together with the English Paper Piecing (EPP) method. These little pieces were then hand stitched together to form one side of this sheaf.

On the other side, I hand embroidered a vine and embellished it with both embroidered flowers and some bouillon roses. I wanted both sides to be beautiful.

Then I hand sewed a nice cording to the sides of the scissor sheaf, with a large loop so it can easily hang around her neck while she is working on hand sewing project. Now, her small embroider scissors are always close at hand, when she needs them.

She was enamored of the embroidery โ€“ especially the bouillon roses. I am still proud of the 1/4โ€ณ hexies โ€“ my first English Paper Piecing effort.

A scissor sheaf is important for your good scissors. It protects the points of your scissors and helps keep your scissors in correct adjustment. Why not make a pretty scissor sheaf like this English paper pieced handmade scissor sheath!
