Christmas Felt Ornament Party

Christmas Felt Ornament Party

Crafts DIY Christmas Ornamentsby Guest Contributor

We are all so busy, especially during the holidays. I always love getting a group of girls together to have great food, wine, each others company and creating – it’s an awesome combination especially during the stressful holiday season. This year the theme was Christmas Felt Ornament Party!

Planning the ornaments

So, my girlfriends and I got together and made felt ornaments. It was so great to have everyone over to catch up and create adorable ornaments. I provided the materials:

  • Multiple colors of felt
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun
  • Tacky glue
  • Needle and thread
  • Accessories: buttons, rick rack, ribbon, jewels, beads and etc
  • Templates and ideas to get the creative juices running!

Everyone was so creative! We made the typical circle ornaments, Christmas trees and just triangles decorated. The highlights were the bacon and eggs and penguins, as shown below.

The girls came over with their ideas on what they wanted to make and they turned out amazing! The best part about getting a group together is that we all are busy with our everyday lives but we can take a few hours to just meet up to create and catch-up. We all had an amazing time and there will be more craft nights to come! Plan your own felt ornament party and see what your friends create!

Since I’m a mother of 2 (a toddler and a newborn) I’ve been crafting a lot of DIY decorations for their rooms. Also, getting my toddler involved in painting and coloring. It’s fun to see little personal touches in their rooms.

How do you keep your craft supplies organized?

We have a dedicated room where we keep our craft supplies with bins and baskets. It keeps the clutter of all the supplies contained in one space.

When you are in a creative mood, do you listen to music, watch TV or do you prefer a quiet spot? If it is music, what types do you listen to? If watching TV, what kinds of shows?

I have my own office space and it’s my area to get my creative juices going! Whether it’s for business or coming up with ideas for future craft ideas. I usually have my Spotify or a podcast going in the background depending on the project I’m working on. I usually listen to ‘coffee shop’ music or business inspired podcasts to get me motivated and creative with my business.
