Machine quilting joins quilt top, batting and backing by machine. You can quilt with your sewing machine, rent or own a special quilting machine, or hire a pro!
Machine quilting can be very simple straight lines, complex designs that are marked on the quilt top and then followed, or freehand motion designs that add texture to the quilt. Thread can blend into the quilt so the design takes second stage or can be a contrasting color or thick thread to add to the quilt’s overall design.
