Upcycled Bulletin Board
Found this bulletin board at a local garage sale for only $.50 and thought it would be great to have over my sewing machine to pin inspirations and things that make me smile. But, it was ugly and boring . . . and someone along the way drew on the cork. So, here is an upcycled bulletin board!
An opportunity to upcycle with a little spray paint! Red is my favorite color, so decided to spray paint it a lovely cherry red. Always use spray paint in a well ventilated area. Also, make sure that you spray paint in a big box or container so that the overspray doesn’t accidentally paint your surrounding area! I got this huge box with a footstool I bought at Ikea and just couldn’t recycle it — I knew I’d find a purpose for it! It’s now my official spray paint box!
It took a few coats, since the cork soaked up some of the paint. But, here it is hung above my sewing machine, with the dollar store pretty heart push pins I made! I love it! Now to fill my upcycled bulletin board up with inspiration! I already have my button tree that makes me smile!
