Thanksgiving Dog Scarf
I love my scarves, and my owner loves making them for me! When we are out on our walks, people always make comments about my holiday scarves! It’s almost Thanksgiving, so now I’m sporting a Thanksgiving Dog Scarf!
My owner found some turkey fabric, with two different backgrounds colors – black and beige. Perfect for a Thanksgiving scarf!
Start with a 1/2 yard of two different fabrics. Fold one side up to make a triangle and cut along the folded edge. Put the right sides together, and sew the raw edges together. Leave about 3″ gap along one of the straight edges, not the diagonal edge that you cut.
Turn the scarf right side out, through that gap you left. Make sure to get the corners turned nicely. If you clip the excess fabric from the corner before turning, it makes it easier to have a nice pointed corner.
Press all around the edges to make sure it is nice and flat. Then topstitch around the entire triangle, including the gap. This will close the hole where you turned the scarf right side out. Tie it on and you’ve got a festive Thanksgiving Dog Scarf!
Having two fabrics makes it reversible! Change the sides, depending on your mood!
