Rolling Panel Bar
Make a rolling panel bar for your home! You can move your bar to where the party is (or will be) – inside or outside on your patio!
The highlight of this bar are the recessed panels. Here is a simple way to make recessed panels. I used 3/4″ superply and 1/4″ lauan with MDF for the bar top.
Inside are three shelves, the bottom one has the casters attached so the whole unit can roll around.
Laying out the frame
I used pocket holes and clamps to hold the frame together while keeping the front flush
Using scrap plywood to increase the surface area of pressure for the clamp
The sides were ripped at 45 degrees so they could miter together
Mostly assembled. By simply stapling the lauan to the back of the frame, it creates the recessed panel look without having to inset the material. Works lovely for things you don’t see the back of.
Staple holes are puttied and sanded, 1/4″ MDF was used to cover the plywood lid for a super smooth finish.
Now we are ready to have a party! Add some shelves on the inside to hold glasses and bottles, and be your best bartender at making your guests the drinks of their choice!
