Make Your Own Pup Pee Place
Have a new puppy and need to leave them all day in a crate? Make your own Pup Pee Place from some 1×4’s, old pallets, some gravel and grass.
We really wanted our new puppy to be grass trained, so she’d know that you only do your stuff in the grass. I built her a pup pee place to go potty in our apartment.
Started with a pallet and used 1×4’s to build sides on the two sides that didn’t have any. I lined the frame with heavy duty plastic, which covers the gaps in the pallet wood and made the bottom of the box moisture proof from the floor. Then, I added a layer of rocks for drainage.
Next, add some top soil, and some sod on top of the soil.
Ta-Da! A Pup Pee Place made with real grass and soil so Ruby will learn to go potty in the grass!
Here she is getting her first sniffs in her new patch of grass.
If you live in an apartment with a balcony, you could make one for those times you just don’t feel like going downstairs with your dog, and have a little patch of grass on your patio!
This worked for us! Ruby learned that grass is the place to pee and poo. So much more affordable than some of the expensive things you can buy, and it was fun to make it myself for my new love of my life, my puppy Ruby!
