Faux Copper Bowl
If you follow my projects, you know I’m a fan of dollar store finds! Want the look of a copper bowl but don’t want to spend the money? Just a little spray paint and, voila, a gorgeous faux copper bowl!
Start with a $1 plastic bowl from your local dollar store.

I have a big box that a foot stool came in from Ikea. It was just ‘too good’ to toss, so I saved it. Now I know why! It is perfect for spray painting outside. It is big and has tall sides, and catches all of the overspray from the spray paint.

I decided to spray paint only the outside of the bowl, so I placed it upside down in the box. Make sure to only spray paint in well ventilated areas.

Then, spray paint! I used hammered copper color. Spray paints come in so many colors and textures now – so easy to make quick, easy and inexpensive items for home dec and organizing.
Here is the bowl with one coat of spray paint.

I ended up only doing two coats, and love the finished faux copper bowl! That only cost me $1 and part of a can of spray paint!
